'Desperate Housewives' actress has lung cancer

Kathryn Joosten, a two-time Emmy winner for her role as feisty neighbor Mrs. McCluskey on "Desperate Housewives," has lung cancer -- and she plans to do everything she can to fight it.

The actress, 69, who already won a bout with lung cancer in 2001, broke the news to her "Housewives" producers Monday morning as she expects her shooting schedule could be interrupted for treatment. "They're totally supportive," she said. "I said, 'If you want to put it in the story line, do it! Tell anybody you want, because the public's going to know.' "

I know that I'm not alone in wishing Kathryn a speedy recovery!

Russell Brand Comes to Kanye's Defense

If anyone can sympathize with Kanye West's predicament, it's foul-mouthed comedian Russell Brand, who hosted the MTV Video Music Awards during which West infamously slighted Taylor Swift.

"Because in the past I've made mistakes and done things a little bit daft," Brand tells Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning. "I know Kanye, and I know he's a nice bloke. We all make mistakes in life."

Brand, 34, says people should stop laying into West, who has apologized, and cut him a little slack for getting "a little bit excited."

"We're all people, these things are a bit silly, no one died," Brand says.

Still, Brand admits that he wanted to gently confront West backstage after the incident.

"Taylor Swift's a young kid, isn't she?" he says. "Yeah, you can't make a pretty girl cry."

What was Lady Gaga wearing...?

Ok, I'm sure many of you are feeling the way I was last night when I ask "What the heck was Lady Gaga wearing?"
I mean every time you turned around she had another hideous peace of work displayed. And let me not even get
started on her performance and the hanging up and bloody ending.

Lil Mama, VMAs Second Stage Crasher

Kanye West is getting all of the headlines thanks to his Video Music Awards stage bum-rush, but he wasn't the only unexpected celebrity cameo.

Towards the end of Jay-Z's performance of 'Empire State of Mind' with Alicia Keys, rapper and 'America's Best Dance Crew' judge Lil Mama hopped up on stage and for a few seconds was standing on the side dancing. Jay-Z at one point patted her on the leg as a hint to go back to her seat, but Mama didn't get the message.

At the end of the song, she crashed a major photo opportunity as Jay-Z and Keys came together for a closing-out pose.

New 'New Moon' Trailer: Creepy Dakota And Shirtless Robert Pattinson

There's a new trailer out to keep fans freaking out in advance of the November release "New Moon," the highly anticipated follow-up to 'Twilight."

In the most-recent trailer fans get a glimpse of a grown-up Dakota Fanning in her role as Jane, a member of the deadly Volturi, complete with crimson eyes.

Meanwhile, vampire heartthrob Edward (played by British heartthrob Robert Pattinson) takes his shirt off.

Jacob (Taylor Lautner) also goes shirtless in the trailer, but that newly-buff body was seen in previously released clips.

And Bella (Kristen Stewart) sinks into a depression, only to become the center of a love triangle.

Kanye Being Kanye: Rapper Interrupts Taylor Swift's VMAs Win

Kanye West is known for speaking his mind and early on during the VMAs, he didn't disappoint.

When Taylor Swift won Best Female Video for 'You Belong With Me,' Kanye jumped onstage, grabbed the mike from the country singer's hands and did what he does best.

"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'm a let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time," he yelled, to many boos. Swift had beat Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' for the award. And according to an MTV source, Kanye is getting booted from the show for his actions.

When the camera panned to the 'Ladies' hitmaker, Jay-Z's wife looked visibly mortified. Meanwhile, Swift stood silently on the stage.

To make matters worse, Swift had to perform the song shortly after Kanye's outburst.
