Desperate Housewives Returns...

If you haven't yet watched tonight's DHWS come back after you have. The night went off with us finding out that the person that Mike married in the cliffhanger last season was low and behold Susan! Now, for those of you who know me, didn't I tell you that I didn't see certain people in the shot at the church at the close of that episode. hmmmm? Susan locking Kathryn in the closet and Kathryn wearing Susan's wedding dress near the homemade tomato sauce was really comical and lends to the character of Susan. Had she been any other housewife Kathryn might have been found dead and left for a body bag.

I have to say that I did like the episode but I will preface it by saying that it did lack one thing. That SEXY cynical touch that only Edie could bring to it. So with loosing Nicollette Sheridan's Edie we've seemed to have lost some of the shows heart and I'm not convinced that swapping out one blonde with another (newcomer Dre De Matteo) is going to do the trick. But I'll stick around to see just what Marc has up his sleeves.

Speaking of which what is up with that new family that Dre De Matteo is part of? It's like Natural Born Killers comes to Wysteria Lane. The father seemed to want to go after poor little Julie Meyer himself and well we saw what the son did to her in the end after he couldn't have his way with her apparently.

Mrs. McCluskey speaking to Gabby in the car about her recent sexual exploits with her new man was funny but a part of me thinks that the conversation would have been even funnier played out between her and Edie. Oh the way they could have gone on and on with each other tit-for-tat just has me reminiscing about the prior seasons. I'm wondering how they are going to work the actual actresses lung cancer into the future story line...

Lynette, now she had me on the floor with the conversation with the newly expectant mother at the doctors office and I find myself really feeling bad for her. And that Tom sees this only as a joyful occasion is rather distressing since she's already given him a brood of four. When is he going to stop just thinking about his manhood and start thinking about his wife's physical make up? I am seeing a depression story line coming along so let's see how it plays out.

Gabby and her niece also had some powerful moments as we saw that she is exactly like Gabby was twenty some-odd years prior. And with the girl trying to head out of the house in a sexy outfit only to be outsmarted by Gabby was classic! Not to mention when Gabby showed up at the club to get her niece and bring her home - talk about hilarious. I like the direction that this story is going in and can't wait to see what Marc Cherry has in store.

Bree and Karl's affair I must say is rather interesting and I'm more into it than I am with Orson. This man goes around making Bree feel worthless just because she's had success and he lost everything (due to his own misdeeds mind you) and then now is blackmailing her to keep her married to him after he found out that she was hiding assets away from him. In tonight's episode Orson was certainly one that I could have simply fast forwarded but I didn't want to miss a moment of Marcia Cross' portrayal of Bree.

Let us not forget our favorite gay neighbor Lee, who it seems has taken over Edie's real estate leads. Wasn't it eerie when he mentioned to the family that the lady who owned the house prior had committed suicide in the very room they were in and they were TOTALLY ok with it. Again, I say NATURAL BORN KILLERS!

Now Kathryn, she's a hot mess and I think that the mess is only going to get much hotter as the season progresses. I see a stalker tipped over the edge with that one. Will her daughter return home in time to help her?

Something Wicked this way is definitely coming to Wysteria Lane. Wonder what the body count will be this time?

Wasilla, Alaska

As you're driving north out of Anchorage, you'll eventually come to this sign, where the left lanes take you north to Wasilla, Talkeetna, and Fairbanks, and the turn to the right will take you to Palmer, and eventually Canada (if you stay on the road long enough).
Ok, why are the light poles SO high?
Driving south to Wasilla offers incredible views, like this one. After a while you think, "Okay, I'm not going to take any more pictures", and then you run into another tremendous view.
Wasilla is a town you go to when you need things, like groceries, or stuff at Wal-Mart. But even Wasilla has tremendous views you won't see elsewhere, as this simple picture shows. What beautiful country!
If you ever find yourself in Wasilla, and you're craving some Mexican food, I highly recommend Senor Taco. From the outside you'll see it in this little strip-mall, and the inside is nothing too special, but the home-cooked food iswonderful.
You say you want a gun? Oh no, we don't sell them here....

You know you're somewhere near Wasilla when you see the Gorilla Fireworks, with this Love Bug parked in the parking lot.

Kirk Cameron Defends Attack on Darwin

Former teen idol Kirk Cameron has it out for Charles Darwin, and is making no apologies for his controversial (and mocked, see below) plan to distribute thousands of altered copies of 'The Origin of Species' to college students.

The 'Growing Pains' alum released a video last week announcing that on Nov. 19, he and other Creationist activists will distribute a special 'Species' with a 50-page intro that slams evolution and paints Darwin as both racist and misogynist and explicitly highlights "Adolph Hitler's undeniable connection to the theory." Nov. 21 is the 150th anniversary of the book's original publication.

Cameron says he is "proud to bring this to people's attention" and hopes his plan will curb the rise of Atheism among college kids. Watch the actor's video, left, and a critics reaction to it, after the jump.

"Atheism has been on the rise for years now, and the Bible of the atheists is 'The Origin of Species'," Cameron says. "We have a situation in our country where young people are entering college with a belief in God and exiting with that faith being stripped and shredded. What we want to do is have student make an informed, educated decision before they chuck their faith."

He backs his beliefs by citing a study that found that in the nation's top schools, a clear majority of Psychology and Biology professors describe themselves as Atheist or Agnostic.

"No wonder Atheism has doubled in the last 20 years among 19-25 year olds," he explains in the video. "An entire generation is being brainwashed by Atheistic Evolution!"

The 50-page intro, written by evangelist author Ray Comfort, will present a "balanced view of Creationism with information from scientists who actually believe God created the universe." Those scientists include Albert Einstein and a host of thinkers whose lives predated 'The Origin of Species,' such as Isaac Newton and Nicolaus Copernicus.

His plan has quickly ruffled feathers among academics, who blast his claims that evolutionary theory is not compatible with Christianity. Cameron's campaign has also been met with spoof videos galore, including a popular rebuttal by YouTube user ZOMGitsCriss, who splices up the original video with counterpoint-by-point arguments. Her 'Origin of Stupidity' has recieved over 4 times more views than Cameron's.

The actor's faith, of course, is nothing new. He became a born-again Christian 20 years ago while still playing Mike Seaver on the ABC hit 'Growing Pains' and has since made a name for himself as the go-to actor for evangelical films, namely the massive 'Left Behind' series.

He resides near Los Angeles and has six children with his wife of 20 years, Chelsea Noble.

When asked by PEOPLE what he would do if his own kids ended up believing in evolution: "Could I accept it? Yeah sure," he says. "I accepted a lot of things that are not true before I was able to sit down and listen to more then one side and think things through the issues. I would sit them down and tell them that I was happy that they were thinking about this stuff, now let's look at all of the information and see if we don't come to a better conclusion. If after that, they still come to the same conclusion, so be it."

Randy Quaid Arrested in Texas

Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, have been arrested in Texas for allegedly failing to pay a $10,000 hotel bill in upscale Santa Barbara, Calif.

The couple is in custody in the town of Marfa in west Texas, Presidio County Sheriff's officials said Thursday.

The actor, 58, and his wife are being held on bail set at $20,000 bail each, according to the office's spokesperson, Drew Sugars. The felony warrant is for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy. Sugars also said that detectives had not yet interviewed Quaid.

Quaid, who is the brother of actor Dennis Quaid, is a former Saturday Night Live cast member and best known for his roles in the National Lampoon Vacation movie franchise. I have only one question; How did he get his beard & hair to match up to the color of his coat in this picture?

Matt Lauer - Kicked in the "Peppercorns"

During a "behind-the-scenes segment" on 'The Today Show,' Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and Ann Curry show off some footage of Vieira getting a little too feisty with Lauer.

During an interview with Martha Stewart, Matt playfully shoves his co-host, who in turn accidentally kicks him in the groin.

"Right in the peppercorns!" Roker exclaims as the group watches the video. Take a look:

Baby Does "The Single Ladies" Dance

Well we've all heard Beyonce's song "The Single Ladies" and we've seen the parodies by Justin Timerblake on SNL, one of the Jonas Brothers, etc. But now comes one truly funny parody done by a child.
