Kate Says Jon Bled Their Bank Account: 'I Have a Stack of Bills'

Jon Gosselin has teed up a major court battle with his soon-to-be ex-wife following his unauthorized withdrawal of thousands of dollars from the duo's money market account, RadarOnline.com reported on Sunday. According to reports, he only left around $1,000 in the account. Kate Gosselin was on the 'Today' show on Monday and put the figure at $230,000.

"When you've left your children and their mother unable to pay for the roof over their heads, it's not acceptable," she said. Kate told Meredith Vieira that this wasn't the first time Jon took money out without asking. "He had done it a few days before I filed for divorce," she said. "He didn't empty it completely, but it was enough that I was afraid.

OH CRY ME A RIVER! This is the hottest mess to come about in the past month. I mean the Octo-Mom is beginning to sound more capable of a parent than these two. And I don't believe for a moment that Kate is as innocent as she appears. She just has a real good publicist -- which I might suggest that Jon find himself to go along with the lawyer!

'Desperate Housewives' - The Plane, The Plane!!!

Get ready my fellow Desperate viewers because this November the most dangerous street in America will be the site of yet another calamity, this time a neighborhood plane crash.

“It’s going to be my cliffhanger for the first half of the season,” series creator Marc Cherry says of the tragedy, which, he adds, will “affect everyone’s lives.”

Since the story is still in the planning stages, many of the biggest details — including who’ll be on board the small aircraft and who’ll be in its path — are still, as it were, up in the air. But this much Cherry confirms for sure: The catastrophe will not claim the life of a housewife. “I’d love to kill somebody ’cause that’s just what I do,” he laughs. “But the truth is, right now I don’t have anyone major dying."

See you all back here as November approaches...

Todd Palin Resigns From Oil Job

Todd Palin has quit his oil field job on the North Slope, the AP reports:

Todd Palin's resignation as a production operator for oil giant BP PLC comes almost two months after his wife stepped down as Alaska governor and shortly before the release of her highly anticipated memoir.

BP spokesman Steve Rinehart says Todd Palin's resignation was effective Sept. 18.

Meghan Stapleton, Sarah Palin's personal spokeswoman, says Todd Palin hopes to return to his union job and for now is spending time with his family.

Like his wife's surprising resignation, this appears to be a change of plans. From an interview last July:

Todd Palin did say that Alaska would remain their home base and indicated that, despite the millions that may come their way after his wife leaves office, he had no plan to give up his blue-collar jobs.

"I'll always be a fisherman, I'll probably always be out working on the slope," he said, alluding to his oilfields job in the state's far-northern tier.

SNL: Scarlett Johansson Joins Ryan Reynolds For SNL (VIDEO)

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds go out of their way to keep their year-old marriage private, barely talking about it and almost never being photographed together, but she none-the-less showed up on 'Saturday Night Live' this week when he hosted.
Early in the show she did a sketch as a porcelain fountain saleswoman, and later in show was standing at her husband's side, beaming, during the credits at the end (as seen in photo below video).

SNL: Madonna and Lady Gaga Fight in Lingerie

Yes, the Material Girl and the girl known for unusual material - singer and strange style icon Lady Gaga - had a hair-pulling, name-calling catfight... but it was all in the name of comedy. Madonna was one of a number of surprise guests on this week's 'Saturday Night Live,' during which Lady Gaga performed as the scheduled musical act. The two popped up at the end of recurring sketch 'Deep House Dish,' dressed in matching black lingerie.

Madonna's appearance wasn't the only surprise 'SNL' had in store. With host Ryan Reynolds in the house, it wasn't a shock to the audience when actress Scarlett Johansson arrived to reprise her role as local Long Island commercial spokeswoman Lexi. Unexpectedly, Elijah Wood made a quick cameo, and former 'SNL' cast member Darrell Hammond joined the Weekend Update for a quick turn as California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But perhaps the greatest surprise of the evening was Lady Gaga's second song, in which the artist donned a moving gyroscope in lieu of a dress. The singer had to adjust the metal pieces of her costume to sit at the piano, then delivered a long, lounge-style version of her own song 'Poker Face,' peppered with greetings to the audience and some love notes to her native New York.

This Week's Big TV Moments

Just in case you missed them...

Saturday: New 'SNL' Cast Member Utters the F Word -- In perhaps the most exciting moment since Sarah Palin was first skewered by Tina Fey on 'Saturday Night Live,' brand-spanking-new cast member Jenny Slate got noticed by a whole lot of people (the FCC included) by inadvertently dropping the F-bomb during the live broadcast. Oops. Hopefully the rest of the season will be as interesting. Warning: Explicit language

Sunday: Don Draper Gets a Black Eye on 'Mad Men' --The dapper hero of the AMC critical favorite gets his butt handed to him -- by a pair of high teenagers, no less. The episode opens with the ad man on the floor, bloodied and blackened, and we are left to figure out what happened as the story is told in flashbacks. We also learn that Peggy, who is show in bed with a mystery man, got a good rogering from Duck. Is it all a preamble to the ultimate unraveling of the sixties when JFK is shot? Whe shall see.

Monday: Woe Is 'The Beautiful Life,' Mischa Barton's Comeback --The ex-'OC' star, who already had to halt filming due to a visit to rehab, saw her hopes dashed after just two episodes. *Ed note: We saw the first one and were intrigued enough by the premise -- watching the faux-real behind-the-scenes of the modeling world -- that we would have watched again, which is more than we can say about most new shows. The not-complete suckiness of the show leads us to side with co-star Sara Paxton's hunch it just wasn't pushed enough by The CW.

Tuesday: Conan's Head Injury Revealed -- Reports trickled out after Friday's taping that Conan O'Brien had really messed up his tremendously impressive noggin. While he was mum for a few days (probably because he was, you know, in the hospital), when he returned he shared the humiliating tape of him getting fake-beaten by Teri Hatcher in a fake-triathalon, skidding across the slick studio floor and knocking his head on the floor with an impressively terrifying thwack. Ever the pro, he stood up and recited his next few lines with a funny quip, but seemed a little off. We don't like to see gentle animals getting hurt, and so we were glad to see that Conan the Great -- and more importantly, his bouncy hair do' -- survived with just a concussion.

Wednesday: Madonna Eats! (A Slice of Pizza) on Letterman -- David Letterman had Madonna on the 'Late Show' for the umpteenth time in as many years, and instead of cursing, the increasingly muscular pop star did something far more shocking: she ate a slice of pizza. (O.K., so there was no cheese.)

Thursday: Letterman Drops a Majorly Scandalous Bomb ... About Himself-- Dave makes the list twice in a week, and boy is this one a doozy. Apparently the married late night talk show host has a thing for female crew members. This is bad mostly because he's been with the same woman for 26 years and only recently married her in March. Even crazier, the talk show guru was the victim of an extortion attempt to the tune of $2 million dollars. Crazier still, authorities are saying the suspect works at CBS on '48 Hours.' What's funny (in a not ha-ha way) is that the way this has played out makes Dave the Philanderer more sympathetic, which, we're betting, the extortee wasn't counting on.

'Housewives' Star Kandi Burruss' Fiance Killed in Club Brawl

A.J. Jewell, the fiance of singer and 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Kandi Burruss, was killed after a nightclub brawl in Atlanta on Friday night, MyFoxAtlanta.com has confirmed. Police say Jewell suffered a severe head injury during a fight at the Body Tap club and was taken to a hospital, where he died. There are no suspects in custody.

Fans of the show got to know Jewell, who appeared several times on the popular Bravo program. Burruss would often argue with her mother about her relationship with Jewell, who has children.

Burruss, also an R&B singer who fronted the '90s group Xscape, is understandably devastated by the news.

"I could never in a million years imagine this happening," she said on Twitter. "Please pray for AJ's children. That's who I'm the most concerned 4."

In a recent interview, Burruss said the pair were taking a break from their relationship to work out some issues.
