Madonna Hospitalized After Horse Accident

Seems like Madonna has fallen off a horse once again.  She suffered "minor injuries and bruises" Saturday while horseback riding in New York's Hamptons, her publicist has announced.

On Saturday evening, Liz Rosenberg said that the entertainer, 50, had already been released from Southampton Hospital after she had been thrown off a horse that had been startled paparazzi.

In 2005, Madonna broke several bones in a horse-riding accident – cracking three ribs and breaking her collarbone and her hand while at Ashcombe, her country estate outside London. The following year, she suffered a hernia and quickly recovered.

So, what do you think - should Madonna give up on the horse riding for a bit?.

Nicollette Sheridan's Desperate Exit Tonight

Nicollette Sheridan's Desperate Exit Earns Kudos

With Sunday night bringing the final episode of Desperate Housewives to star original cast member Nicollette Sheridan – who is leaving the show for good – her neighbors on Wisteria Lane gathered to pay brief tribute to her during a panel discussion about Housewives at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles.

According to James Denton (the actor whose plumber Mike on the ABC show was the object of Sheridan's character Edie's insatiable lust), at the table-read of the first script that would not feature Sheridan, she took a moment to address the writers and actors. "She said, 'While you're all together, I'm here to say thank you for everything. You guys are great. You guys are awesome,' " Denton said.

"She walked out of the room, and Felicity [Huffman] looked at me and said, 'Classy,' and it sure was."

Of her last days on the set, Denton, 46, said, "Her attitude made them completely bearable. It could have been tough and sad, but she was so great," the Associated Press reports.

"She will be missed," Sheridan's costar, Teri Hatcher, told PEOPLE magazine earlier this month. "I feel really grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her."

At the Paley Center gathering Saturday, a misty-eyed Hatcher, 44, was quoted as saying: "I made a scrapbook as my sort of parting gift, and it reminded me of how great those two characters [Hatcher's Susan and Sheridan's Edie] were together."

Speaking to TV Guide recently about her reasons for leaving, Sheridan, 45, said, "When the show started [in October 2004] it was such a different beast. It was exciting and dangerous and funny and edgy and bizarre. It started feeling a little complacent, and that was very frustrating."

But countered show creator Marc Cherry, 47: "Edie's already slept with most of the guys on the street and has caused about as many problems as she could."  If you ask me I think Nicollette's Sheridan's character was a hoot and I would be the first to champion the cause for bringing her back!  Watch DHWS?  What do you think?  Should Marc Cherry bring Edie back?

Slumdog Millionaire Star Rubina Ali's Father a Real SLUM DOG!

Talk about a real life SLUM DOG!  THE poverty-stricken father of Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali plans to become a millionaire himself-by SELLING his nine-year-old daughter.

Rubina Ali

In a bid to escape India's real-life slums, Rafiq Qureshi put angel-faced darling of the Oscars Rubina up for adoption, demanding millions of rupees worth £200,000.

As he offered the shocking deal to the News of the World's undercover fake sheik this week, Rafiq declared: "I have to consider what's best for me, my family and Rubina's future."    Having ones child placed up for adoption so that they can have a better life is one thing BUT to sell one's child to better the life of the whole family that is left behind... I think that is rather criminal.   Can you think of anything more tragic?

Two Words for Kim Kardashian - SUN SCREEN!

The reality star tweets that she was left with a horrific sunburn line after falling asleep outside wearing her sunglasses, and wants to know what everyone thinks she should do.  Here's just a thought SUN SCREEN!  Looks like she'll have to go under a tanning machine (covering the parts already tanned) to even it all out.

Kim Kardashian

Have any advice for Kim other than the obvious?  Have a sun tan story of your own?  We want to hear about it.

Amy Winehouse wants to adopt - "oh, NO NO NO..."

See what happens when you "try to make her go to rehab and she says no, no, no..." Talk about a hot mess - Amy Winehouse is now rumoured to be wanting to adopt a St Lucian child.

This follows the news that her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil is expecting a child with a woman he met in rehab.

The 25-year-old songstress has told friends that she would like to live on the Caribbean island permanently.

A source in the Sunday Mail says that, "Amy is seriously thinking about adopting. But she is aware it's going to be incredibly difficult with her background."

They continue, "Amy's gutted about Blake becoming a dad and moving on so quickly. She has always wanted to be a mother. She loves St Lucia and would move there for good in order to adopt."

Amy's spokesman denies this, saying that she was talking about adoption in a different context, perhaps within a music or education-outreach project.

Amy won't be alone if she does adopt, as many celebrities have gone down that route.  Here's a thought, perhaps she could ask the Octo-mom for one of her brewed since she seems to now have enough to form her very own basket ball team.  So tell me what do you all think of this hot mess?

Daytime Soaps a Thing of the Past?

Rinna Says Soaps Will Be Dead in 5 Years

Well at least that is what Lisa Rinna thinks.  With 'Guiding Light' recently being canceled after 72 years of existence, Rinna interviewed for PopEater, said that it won't be the last soap to go, and the entire genre may be extinct in 5 years. Also discussed in her interview with PopEater is her new book, 'Rinnavation' -- and, yes, her new Playboy spread, sex life and thoughts on plastic surgery.  So what do you think?  Are daytime soaps following in the steps of their prime time counter parts of the 80's & 90's?  Do you watch daytime soaps and if so tell us a little about the one you watch or have watched and if you think it'll be around in 5 years.
