'Melrose Place' update: Here comes Josie Bissett!
Josie Bissett, who played Jane Andrews Mancini from 1992 to 1999 on the original Melrose Place, will reprise her role with a guest-starring appearance this fall on The CW's reboot of the classic soap. Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro, who respectively played Jane's scheming sister Sydney and scheming husband Michael, previously signed on as part of the new cast.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck to Kate Gosselin: 'Get a job!'
This morning on The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that Jon & Kate Plus Eight should no longer exist ("They shouldn't have a show") and that Kate Gosselin should "get a job." When co-host Sherri Shepherd noted that the Gosselins had essentially given up their jobs to work for their reality show -- i.e., that this, in addition to parenting, isKate's job -- Hasselbeck said vehemently, "I don't care!... It's not healthy for the kids."
"Get the camera off the kids!" said Hasselbeck.
Barbara Walters, who was the only person on the View panel who admitted to watching Jon & Kate, said that she thought that "if you have more than five children, you shouldn't be allowed to get divorced."
The audience applauded enthusiastically.
Do you agree with Hasselbeck?

R.I.P. Ed McMahon
Ed McMahon has passed away at 86, according to reports.
He died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in California this morning.
He is best known as Johnny Carson's sidekick on "The Tonight Show" and his infamous catchphrase, "Heeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!" Not to mention those campy Colonial Penn Commercials from the 80's & 90's. And I should know those, I used to work for Intramerica Life Insurance Company - a subsidiary of the Colonial Penn Group and I used to hate when people would call and say that Mr. McMahon told them that they won a million dollars! I'd then have to tell them that they had received a Publisher's Clearing House letter and not one from our insurance company which he too represented as a paid endorsee of our products. In most cases these 80-90 year olds just didn't get it and hung up only to call back later.
McMahon also hosted "Star Search" and "TV Bloopers And Practical Jokes" with Dick Clark. Well, here to you Ed! RIP.

More Jon & Kate Drama????
Just when it seemed we were finally getting answers in the Jon and Kate saga, there’s more. Minutes after their special “announcement” episode aired, Kate and Jon released individual statements implying there’s much more to the story!
Kate Gosselin released the following statement to PEOPLE magazine Monday night:
“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.”
Jon released his own statement to the magazine as well:
“This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that. This will be a difficult transition for all of us, but Kate and I will work out a schedule that enables our kids to have plenty of quality time with both of us at home in Pennsylvania. In terms of my marriage, it’s no secret that the past six months or so have been very difficult for Kate and me. We are no different than other couples and parents who are facing a crossroads in their marriage. I am of course deeply saddened that we are divorcing.”
Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland': First-look photos are pretty darn stunning
The first photos from director Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland are online, and man, are they stunning. In addition to portraits of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, and Helena Bonham-Carter as the Red Queen (pictured), USA Today has some panoramic concept art from the film which will combine live-action and stop-motion and CG animation, and eventually be transferred to 3-D. (It's set to premiere March 5 next year.) What do you think -- is it living up to your expectations? Or does it remind you a bit too much of Burton's candy-colored wonderland from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
Bryan Fuller exits 'Heroes'
Just as Heroes was gaining some creative momentum comes word of another setback: Bryan Fuller has vacated his post as consulting producer.
The acclaimed Pushing Daisies auteur has left to focus on developing new projects for NBC, and not (as some have speculated) due to creative differences with series creator Tim Kring.
"I'm crafting two pilots right now and it's a lot of work," admits Fuller, who has an overall deal with NBC. "It was just too hard to [juggle] Heroes and my development; something had to give."
Fuller returned to Heroes last December, shortly after ABC dropped the ax on Daisies. Many (yours truly included) credited him with the show's end-of-season creative rebirth. I'm thinking that Fuller should take Pushing Daisies to NBC and Bring it back to life! Pun intended.
Reaction to Fuller's exit? Are you as bummed as I am? Sound off below!
