Bryan Singer to direct and produce 'Battlestar Galactica' movie
Battlestar Galactica is getting the big-screen treatment. Universal Pictures has confirmed blog speculation that Bryan Singer, director of Valkyrie, will take on directing and producing duties for a BSG movie. Glen Larson, who created original series back in 1978, will produce as well. The film is not expected to be a continuation of current popular television show that’s running on the SyFy network but will be a complete re-imagining of the sci-fi lore that was invented by Larson back in the 70s.
Obama's Healthcare Plan
Ok, I'm going to just make this short and sweet. Shouldn't we make sure that we FIRST get to helping the people who are in distress with foreclosures? How about getting people back to work? Updating the electrical grid on the eastern coast? Retrofit gas stations to accommodate new alternative fueling sources (ex; flex fuels, hydrogen & electrical power) and build additional infrastructures throughout the US?
Foreclosure filings were up 32 percent from the same month last year, RealtyTrac Inc. said Thursday. More than 360,000 households, or one in every 355 homes, received a foreclosure-related notice, such as a notice of default or trustee's sale. That's the highest monthly level since the foreclosure-listing firm began publishing the data more than four years ago.
The mortgage industry has been slow to adapt to the surge in foreclosures. Many lenders have needed government prodding to get up to speed with the Obama administration's plan to stem foreclosures. And herein lies my gripe with the healthcare plan. If we can't even adapt fast enough to help people stay in their homes how in the world are we going to adapt to overhaul healthcare?
I think we need to slow it down a bit and look at the other programs that are currently in place and make sure that they are working as designed. (Recall the new jobs that were promised? Well many of them are stuck in committee.) Once we can do that we can move forward towards fixing the ailing healthcare system which I agree needs a major overhaul.

Devastating Crash Rips Apart Family
For those of you that are not familiar with this story, Diane Schuler, 36, drove the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway for nearly 2 miles before her minivan slammed into an SUV on July 26. Schuler, her 2-year-old daughter, Erin, and three young nieces were killed, along with three men in the SUV.
This story is a total HOT MESS. I mean since the beginning, there has been SO much misinformation in the media. Case in point. Directly after the accident the news was reporting that 1) a vodka bottle was found outside near the vehicle. This soon changed to 2) a vodka bottle was found inside the car under the seat. So my question here is What is it? Was it inside the car or outside the car. Or was it placed there??
Next, has anybody finger printed the vodka bottle to prove that it was indeed held by her and take a DNA sample from it? One would think that they would have but there is no indication of this being the case. Why not? It seems that the autopsy results are saying that she was intoxicated (from drinking vodka & smoking marijuana) but how does one find the time to drink that much Vodka and smoke Marijuana especially after leaving a McDonalds? If she had just eaten at McD's wouldn't there have been food in her stomach that would of slowed down the effects of the alcohol?
And what about the timeline here. It just seems that events did not happen in the way they are being described. She leaves a Mc D's and everyone says she appeared fine. She leave the campground and she's fine. Well if she's fine then did she stop somewhere along the way at a rest stop and eat, drink, and smoke pot? And if so, you mean to tell me that nobody saw this happening? Or was she drinking and smoking while driving? If she was smoking marijuana while driving I would think that there would be residue in the lungs of the children. Has this proven to be the case in their autopsies?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting what the woman did because it's horrible in itself BUT there seems to be so many unanswered questions here. Adding to this, just recently Warren Hance, who lost three daughters in the crash, was quoted as being furious that Schuler was driving drunk and high, but is also enraged that her husband is denying she had a problem.
At the end of the day no matter who is at fault, this is just one tragic story.

Somebody's Getting STRANGLED!!!
Octomom Nadya Suleman Hospitalized
Nadya Suleman was admitted to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Bellflower, CA, Tuesday morning.
Suleman was hospitalized to under go surgery following recurring bladder problems after delivering her octuplets in late January.
The procedure was relatively minor and she was told she would be in the hospital for 3 - 5 days.
It is reported that a Nanny and friends are watching her little village consisting of 14 children while she recovers from the procedure.
Hmmmmm, has me wondering just ONE thing - could our dear Octomom really be getting MORE surgery to make her look like her favorite actress Angelina Jolie or is she getting ready for her NEXT BROOD!??
Gee, Eye Joe: Channing Tatum's Stripping Past Revealed
He may be one of the hottest stars in Hollywood these days, but “G.I. Joe” star Channing Tatum began his career in entertainment as a local stripper! And as you know, as soon as one becomes anything of a name in Hollywood they'll be those who haven't been as fortunate slithering out from under the rocks from which they live.
Us magazine recently obtained video of Tatum, 29, performing in a male revue called Male Encounter. The video shows the star, then 18, shedding his shirt and pants before a crowd of screaming ladies.
Troupe owner London Steele said Tatum was “shy at first, but he really knew how to work the stage.” According to Steele, Tatum went by the alias Chan Crawford as he lip-synched in the Florida act and earned $50 a night (plus tips) during his year-long stint.
“The women went crazy for him,” Steele said.
The video also shows Tatum giving a few ladies a lap dance before he stripped down to his skivvies. But the star never showed it all off – the club had a strict no nudity policy.
The gig led to the “Step Up” star catching the eye of a casting director, who put the star in Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” music video.
And the rest, as they say, is Hollywood history. And I say "good for you Tatum for working what your mother gave yah!"
