USA network's Royal Rip off
The Force apparently wasn't with "Star Wars" actor Hayden Christensen when he pitched an idea for a new TV series to the USA Network.
The Canadian-born star and his older brother yesterday filed suit in Manhattan federal court against the cable outfit, charging that it stole their idea for a comedic drama about a "concierge" doctor who makes house calls to the rich and famous.
The brothers claim that USA's "Royal Pains" -- which is in its second season -- is a shameless rip-off of "Housecall," which they offered to the NBC subsidiary in 2005.
The Christensens claim a USA exec told them "that, prior to learning about 'Housecall,' he was unaware of concierge doctors and that he thought it was a fascinating idea."
A USA spokeswoman declined to comment.

Desperate Housewives - Vanessa Williams - First Look
Vanessa Williams has joined the cast of ABC's hit show 'Desperate Housewives.' And before she starts shooting in a few weeks only Naughty But Nice can show you how Vanessa went from 'Ugly Betty's' Wilhelmina to 'Housewife' Renee.
"We had to make sure the new character did not look like Wilhelmina," her long time hairstylist Gregg Giannillo tells me. "Although she has to be glamorous, she still has to be more 'middle America' and not as over the top. With that in mind, I gave her a mid-length layered bob. She can wear it so many different ways and commit to none. Her color was done very heavily blonde in front, while remaining her natural [color] everywhere else."
Greg explains that Vanessa sent e-mails with different ideas before the wig was handmade and flown to his fabulous salon in Manhattan. Then it was cut and colored based on Vanessa's skin tone and makeup, and Renee was born.

Levi Johnston Apologies to The Palin Family
Could it be that Levi Johnston has gained a conscience? Or is he trying to become a better person?
Bristol Palin’s former fiance publicly apologized to her family Tuesday in a statement to PEOPLE magazine, saying that some of his comments about the Palin family made in the wake of the 2008 presidential campaign are not totally true.
Levi Johnston, the father of Bristol’s son, Tripp, was thrust into the spotlight when former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was chosen to be the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate.
But his relationship with the Palin family became strained after his engagement to Bristol ended, and he embarked on a series of high-profile media interviews in which he criticized the Palin family.
Now, Johnston appears to be trying to mend the relationship.
"Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry. Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true," Johnston told CNN’s sister publication PEOPLE Magazine. "I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah. Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize."
During the GOP's 2008 national convention in Minneapolis, Palin revealed that Bristol, then 17 years old, was pregnant with Johnston's baby and the two had plans to marry.
Following the election, Johnston appeared in Playgirl Magazine, and said on “The Tyra Banks Show” that he and Bristol had been allowed to live together, a charge the Palin camp denied.
