Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx and Others Pay Tribute to Michael at BET Awards

After his sudden death, Michael Jackson was honored at the BET Awards over the weekend.
Jackson's sister and father, Janet and Joe, were at the ceremony to pay tribute to the late King of Pop.
"I wish the world had recognized him when he was living. Right now, he's bigger than ever. But I wish he was here to see all this, to hear all this," Joe Jackson said on the red carpet for the event.
At the end of the show, Janet stepped out on the stage to honor her brother.
"My entire family wanted to be here tonight but it was too painful. To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family. He will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much," Janet said tearfully.

Ruth Madoff parts with most of her money

Poor Ruth Madoff. She may have known nothing about her husband's fraud. Right.

Mrs. Madoff gave up most of her claims to cash and property she said was hers.According to The Wall Street Journal, she "has agreed to give up her potential claim to more than $80 million worth of assets, keeping just $2.5 million in cash in an agreement reached with federal prosecutors."

Mrs. Madoff may be giving up most of her fortune, but it is a small price to pay. The government could try to prove that she was aware of her husband's actions. Prosecutors may not have proven the case, but it would have tied Mrs. Madoff up in court proceedings for years.

To "get out of jail free", she gives up her homes in three cities and a number of asset and gets to walk away "poor."

Yeah, "poor" my ass!  I'm sure this broad has some money stashed over seas on various accounts and names.  She's no fool.  And you can believe that she isn't ready to live off of 2.5 million either.

Somebody hire a PI to follow her around 24/7 and you'll see.

TV Pitchman Billy Mays Found Dead

The popular product pusher Billy Mays has died.
His wife found Mays -- best known as the pitchman for OxiClean and star of many other TV infomercials -- unconscious in their Florida home.  It has been reported that Mays had bumped his head on his flight back home to Tampa, FL when a tire blew out on the plane he was traveling in while landing.  Video at the site shows Mays taking pictures as he exited the plane of both the plane and rescue crew and he was later interviewed while at the airport and spoke about the ordeal.
Now who can I trust to sell me my Oxyclean?

Are Drugs to Blame for Jackson's Death?

As the world continues to try to grasp and make sense of the incredibly shocking death of Michael Jackson, several people close to the family and investigation are hinting that prescription drugs may have played a role in the King of Pop's demise.

Brian Oxman, the Jackson Family spokesman and former lawyer for Michael, told CNN in an interview on Thursday night that "I can only tell you that this is something that was not unexpected." Oxman went on to say that "the medications which Michael was under, this family has been trying for months and months and months to take care of Michael Jackson."
Oxman went on to compare the Jackson situation to that of the late Anna Nicole Smith. "The people who have surrounded him have been enabling him. If you think the case of Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it's nothing in comparison to what we have seen taking place in Michael Jackson's life," Oxman told CNN.
Jackson's friend Uri Geller says he thinks it was the pressure of Michael's upcoming 50+ concert tour that put added weight on the King of Pop. "He was in good shape ... I'm not a doctor, but I can only assume he was under immense stresses and pressures, and you can ask any doctor, stress is a killer. The pressure of these concerts, putting under huge pressures, he was a perfectionist. That could have been what did it. But that's just my opinion,"
The official cause of Jackson's death won't be known until an autopsy has been completed. As of now, cardiac arrest is being blamed for his death. No matter what the results are, we have lost a great musical legend and genius.

Michael Jackson Dies

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

We have truly lost two bright stars today...

Court Documents Show 'Real Housewives' Star Was Involved in Kidnapping Plot, Drug Deals and Prostitution

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" lightning rod Danielle Staub has a much more sordid past than she's copped to on Bravo's hit reality show.

Staub, 46, has only admitted to an arrest and to changing her name — after she was exposed in "Cop Without a Badge," a 1995 book about her ex-husband that featured prominently on the show

But according to explosive federal court records posted yesterday on thesmokinggun.com, she was far more deeply involved in a kidnapping plot, a $24,000 drug deal gone bad and an "escort service" than she admitted to on the show.

Danielle has always said her criminal record — which dates back to 1986 — were the mistakes of youth. But the details of the charges against her outlined on official papers are substantial.

Staub, then known as Beverly Ann Merrill — but using the alias Angela Minelli — was arrested along with Daniel Aguilar, whom she met while working for an escort service, according to the reports.

Staub was a courier for Aguilar, who distributed narcotics for a Colombian drug family.  If I were the "Real Housewives of NJ" I might button my lips lest they want to be sleeping with the fishes.

Farrah Fawcett Dies of Cancer at Age 62

Farrah Fawcett he actress who shot to worldwide fame thanks to her role in 'Charlie's Angels' and other Hollywood ventures along the way, has passed away after a long battle with cancer. She was 62 years old.
"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world," her longtime partner Ryan O'Neal said in a statement.
She will always be one of my favorite Angels.

Real Housewives Jacqueline and Danielle No Longer Friends

Jacqueline Laurita was the only housewife who came to Danielle Staub's defense during the fiery June 16 Real Housewives of New Jersey Finale Showdown.

Now, Laurita - who famously betrayed her sisters-in-laws  Dina and Caroline Manzo by claiming that Dina uncovered the book about Staub's crime-ridden past - tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands today) she and Staub no longer speak. (On Tuesday, federal court records surfaced detailing Staub's deep involvement in a kidnapping plot, a $24,000 drug deal and an "escort service" - all of which she denies.)

"I am not friends with Danielle," Laurita emphatically tells Us Weekly.

Adds the mother-of-three (who welcomed a boy, Nicholas, June 11): "She has never seen the baby, nor will I ever show her. I learned my family was right about her all along."

'Melrose Place' update: Here comes Josie Bissett!

Josie Bissett, who played Jane Andrews Mancini from 1992 to 1999 on the original Melrose Place, will reprise her role with a guest-starring appearance this fall on The CW's reboot of the classic soap. Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro, who respectively played Jane's scheming sister Sydney and scheming husband Michael, previously signed on as part of the new cast.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck to Kate Gosselin: 'Get a job!'

This morning on The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that Jon & Kate Plus Eight should no longer exist ("They shouldn't have a show") and that Kate Gosselin should "get a job." When co-host Sherri Shepherd noted that the Gosselins had essentially given up their jobs to work for their reality show -- i.e., that this, in addition to parenting, isKate's job -- Hasselbeck said vehemently, "I don't care!... It's not healthy for the kids."

"Get the camera off the kids!" said Hasselbeck.

Barbara Walters, who was the only person on the View panel who admitted to watching Jon & Kate, said that she thought that "if you have more than five children, you shouldn't be allowed to get divorced."

The audience applauded enthusiastically.

Do you agree with Hasselbeck?

Aaron Shutway makes a crazy basket!!!!

Farrah Fawcett Is Back in the Hospital

The actress has been hospitalized for at least two weeks.  I for one just love Farrah and as I'm sure many of her fans are, hoping beyond all hope for a miracle.  WE LOVE YOU FARRAH!

PEREZ HILTON VS WILL.I.AM (all caught on camera)

Honestly, we don't know who to stand by. This is like a Chris / Rihanna  case. Not major but minor. A part of me says Will.i.am should of just brushed it all off , and so what if Perez writes nasty things about you. You already know you're an artist and Perez like other tabliod's are just there to stir the pot.  And what's up with Perez calling Will.i.am a Fag/Faggot?  Isn't this just like it being ok for one group of people to use the "N" word and damned be to hell anyone else who uses it?  I don't know but anyways this is just getting SO boring.

R.I.P. Ed McMahon

Ed McMahon has passed away at 86, according to reports.

He died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in California this morning.

He is best known as Johnny Carson's sidekick on "The Tonight Show" and his infamous catchphrase, "Heeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!"  Not to mention those campy Colonial Penn Commercials from the 80's & 90's.  And I should know those, I used to work for Intramerica Life Insurance Company - a subsidiary of the Colonial Penn Group and I used to hate when people would call and say that Mr. McMahon told them that they won a million dollars!  I'd then have to tell them that they had received a Publisher's Clearing House letter and not one from our insurance company which he too represented as a paid endorsee of our products.  In most cases these 80-90 year olds just didn't get it and hung up only to call back later.

McMahon also hosted "Star Search" and "TV Bloopers And Practical Jokes" with Dick Clark.  Well, here to you Ed!  RIP.

Chris Brown pleads guilty in Rihanna assault case

Under terms of the agreement, Brown will serve five years of probation and must serve 180 days in jail or the equivalent -- about 1,400 hours -- in "labor-oriented service."

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, made a brief appearance at the hearing -- after Brown had left the courtroom -- to hear Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg discuss the issuance of a "stay away" order requiring him to stay 100 yards from her. Through her attorney, Rihanna had requested that such an order not be issued.

Talk about Disturbia....

More Jon & Kate Drama????

Just when it seemed we were finally getting answers in the Jon and Kate saga, there’s more. Minutes after their special “announcement” episode aired, Kate and Jon released individual statements implying there’s much more to the story!

Kate Gosselin released the following statement to PEOPLE magazine Monday night:

“Over the course of this weekend, Jon’s activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children.  While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.”

Jon released his own statement to the magazine as well:

“This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that. This will be a difficult transition for all of us, but Kate and I will work out a schedule that enables our kids to have plenty of quality time with both of us at home in Pennsylvania. In terms of my marriage, it’s no secret that the past six months or so have been very difficult for Kate and me. We are no different than other couples and parents who are facing a crossroads in their marriage. I am of course deeply saddened that we are divorcing.”

Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland': First-look photos are pretty darn stunning

The first photos from director Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland are online, and man, are they stunning. In addition to portraits of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, and Helena Bonham-Carter as the Red Queen (pictured), USA Today has some panoramic concept art from the film which will combine live-action and stop-motion and CG animation, and eventually be transferred to 3-D. (It's set to premiere March 5 next year.) What do you think -- is it living up to your expectations? Or does it remind you a bit too much of Burton's candy-colored wonderland from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

Bryan Fuller exits 'Heroes'

Just as Heroes was gaining some creative momentum comes word of another setback: Bryan Fuller has vacated his post as consulting producer.

The acclaimed Pushing Daisies auteur has left to focus on developing new projects for NBC, and not (as some have speculated) due to creative differences with series creator Tim Kring.

"I'm crafting two pilots right now and it's a lot of work," admits Fuller, who has an overall deal with NBC. "It was just too hard to [juggle] Heroes and my development; something had to give."

Fuller returned to Heroes last December, shortly after ABC dropped the ax on Daisies. Many (yours truly included) credited him with the show's end-of-season creative rebirth.  I'm thinking that Fuller should take Pushing Daisies to NBC and Bring it back to life!  Pun intended.

Reaction to Fuller's exit? Are you as bummed as I am? Sound off below!

Jon and Kate Gosselin file for divorce

People.com is reporting that Jon and Kate Gosselin filed divorce papers in Pennsylvania today to end their 10-year marriage.  It has been widely anticipated that the couple will use tonight's episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight to announce their split, based on press reports and suspicious spots promoting the one-hour episode on TLC.

Family Split Apart by Deportation

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Saul, having no other relatives near by, followed his mom, Elvira Arellano to Tijuana to return later, alone to Chicago to go back to school.

Elvira was not a U.S. citizen, she crossed the border illegally, twice. She had no legal rights to be in the United States, but what about the rights of her son? Does he have a right to be with his mom?

Saul´s story is not unique. Thousands of children in the United States live in fear that their parents could be deported, thousands more have seen their families torn apart by immigration laws. Being born in the United States ensures they are citizens from birth, and most do not know other country.

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizenship at birth to almost all individuals born in the United States or in U.S. jurisdictions, according to the principle of jus soli.

Certain individuals born in the United States, such as children of foreign heads of state or children of foreign diplomats, do not obtain U.S. citizenship under jus soli.

Also individuals born outside of the United States are born citizens because of their parents, according to the principle of jus sanguinis (which holds that the country of citizenship of a child is the same as that of his / her parents).

Now roughly 150 children are asking President Barack Obama to halt the deportations of their parents until Congress overhauls U.S. immigration laws.

The children are all U.S. citizens and say their constitutional rights are being violated because they, too, will likely have to leave the country if their parents are forced to leave.

But herein lies the dilemma and I ask.  If a person enters a country "illegally" they know that they are here illegally right?  So why is it that we afford their children born in the US citizenship?  I think that we need to revise the 14th Amendment here.

We could end all of this back and forth nonsense about borders and the like by enforcing our own and make the rules plain and simple for all to understand.  If you enter the country illegally you will be deported - you and your little kiddies too!

Furniture Designed for Plus Sized People

As the obesity rate rises (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that more than a third of adults in the U.S. are obese), companies are looking to capitalize on this growing group of consumers. While plus size clothing is commonplace--Target, Forever 21 and TopShop launched trendy plus size clothing lines already this year--less attention has been paid to the way overweight and obese people live in their homes. Last week BrylaneHome began selling a line of furniture and home accessories called "Plus+ Size Living" which includes oversized bath towels and chairs that hold up to 800 lbs.

And they say that children playing video games all day long and watching TV is nothing to be worried about.

Melrose Place - Extended Preview

Just because I'm loving it I thought I'd post some more for yah... Give me give me give me MORE MELROSE PLACE!

Melrose Place - Spell Melrose

If you are like me you a probably just dying to get to the fall and the new Melrose Place.
Just a shame (spoiler coming) that they brought Sidney back (yeah you thought she did in the original right - well NOT!) just to kill her in the season premiere episode.  Her murder is what drives the first season along with flash backs of where she was and what happened after we all saw her die in the arms of her then husband on the original Melrose Place circa 1997.

Jon & Kate to Make Announcement on Monday Show

Are Jon and Kate Gosselin announcing a divorce?

"Recently we've made some life-changing decisions," Kate says in a voiceover on a new TLC promo for a one-hour Jon & Kate Plus 8 episode to air Monday. "Decisions that will affect every member of our family...ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."

Phrases like "A relationship at a crossroads" and "Where do they go from here?" also flash across the screen during the 30-second promo.  Such phrases might be setting the viewers up for a divorce announcement OR will they pull a fake out and go straight to a marriage counselor?  Just the way it is shot it seems to much like a set up to me.  As if they posed this way and that way.

Then of course there is the other option... bringing in the Octomom as a special guest star for the rest of the season.  LOL

Ryan Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan Meet to Plan Reality Show

Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan were spotted out together in Hollywood Thursday night, but it turns out that their meetup was strictly business.

"Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her…it helps people and gives others a second shot!" Ryan wrote on his Twitter page on Friday, one day after he and the actress went to H.Wood in L.A. "Still putting it all together."

The American Idol host is no stranger to producing. In addition to his radio hosting gig, the star has lent his TV production talents to E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians as well asBrody Jenner MTV show, Bromance.

Lohan also mentioned details of the project on her Twitter page Friday.

"Working on a really great project for television -- I am excited!" she wrote. "Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC… :)"

The premise of the potential series is that real people who are on the wrong track and looking for a second chance are given $1 million to make it happen. Lohan, no stranger to the concept, would likely serve on a panel of judges who hear contestants' stories.

Toothpick City Took 34 Years to Build

A California man has spent the last 34 years building a model of San Francisco out of toothpicks.
Scott Weaver, 49, has used a million tiny sticks to construct the city and its many landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. "Rolling Through the Bay" also features entry points where ping-pong balls can be inserted to run along tracks. The sculpture is 9 feet tall and 7 feet wide.  Talk about having some serious time on your hands...

NBC News going the way of reality shows?

THE staff at NBC News isn't younger and hotter than the staffs at other network news operations -- it just seems that way. Sources say that when Brian Williams left his desk to deliver Wednesday's nightly broadcast from the middle of the newsroom, producers brought in some ringers. "NBC newsroom staffers don't look like Vogue staffers," said one source. "So they asked less attractive, heavier staffers to move seats and allow younger, thinner members of the staff to act as extras." The "extras," including two interns who normally run errands, were told to sit up straight, look busy and keep their computers on the MSNBC Web site. "No porn behind Brian," our source laughed. An NBC rep denied any reality-altering: "The majority of the people seen on the newscast are the same people who are there every night." As for the interns? "They were serving a purpose. They were helping out with the broadcast."

'Barrel monster' gains following, from North Carolina to South Korea

The Barrel Monster, a playful statue made of orange and white construction barrels, only had a few hours of life but is basking in popularity as news spreads of its suspected creator's arrest by Raleigh police.

In the week since Joseph Carnevale, a student at North Carolina State University, was arrested June 10, both he and the Barrel Monster have attracted attention from around the country, and even the world.

The monster's image was broadcast on national television networks Thursday amid coverage of the mass street demonstrations in Iran to protest the disputed election there. An interview with Carnevale aired that afternoon on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," a national radio program.

Nearly 3,000 people have joined a page on Facebook, the social networking site, urging Wake prosecutors to drop the charges.

I love this Barrel Monster - perhaps the makers of the construction barrels should use it as a logo or something and pay Carnevale for the idea.

Adam Lambert and Madonna Duet in the works??

Think about it: Earlier this week, it was reported that Adam had logged studio time with Lady Gaga producer RedOne, so despite his rocker tendencies, theIdol runner-up is clearly not afraid of getting his dance on. And now, if you will, let your mind travel back to Madonna's seminal 1998Ray of Light CD -- yes we are all that old -- an electronica extravaganza that still managed to keep a foot in guitar-rock genre. Suddenly, I'm thinking Adam and Madge could team up for a cover of "Candy Perfume Girl" or "Drowned World/Substitute for Love," or best of all "Swim" (embedded after the jump for the uninitiated).

Not only would the hookup make sense musically, but it would also be a smart career move. For Adam, a Madonna duet would give him instant credibility outside the Idol universe -- something he'll need to break through the anti-Idol prejudice held by many a radio-station programmer. For Madonna, being the first superstar artist to hit the studio with Adam would attach her to a young, exciting artist without the appearance that she's suddenly become a follower instead of a leader (a problem that gave "Me Against the Music" and "4 Minutes to Save the World" a slight whiff of desperation). Plus, girlfriend could use some fresh gay-cred points, no?

What do you think? Would an Adam-Madonna collaboration be a match made in musical heaven, or an aural abomination? And which artist would benefit more from a duet?

Barack Obama: 'I Have Been an Imperfect Father'

President Barack Obama has written a heartfelt Father's Day message acknowledging his own shortcomings as a dad to daughters Malia, 10, Sasha, 8.

"I know I have been an imperfect father. I know I have made mistakes," Obama admits in a letter to be published in this week's Parade magazine.

Ok, is it just me or is it that Obama keeps jumping into every aspect of our lives.  Why not just rename the country to The United States of Obama already.  I mean come on.  Love him or hate him this guy just seems to love the limelight.  I think he needs to spend more time running the country and less time putting his face all over the place.  "I have been an imperfect father..." No duh dip wad last I checked you can't walk on water or create life from nothing so of course you've been an imperfect father so why do I need to hear about it when I can just look at my own father.

Susan Boyle Cancels Another Concert

Susan Boyle canceled her Thursday performance in Liverpool – the second time she has missed a show on the current Britain's Got Talenttour, after she failed to appear on stage last weekend in Manchester.

"She had a rest day," says her rep of this latest cancellation, while a source adds that, contrary to some reports, Boyle was not pining for her cat at home. "She certainly wasn't shouting out for Pebbles," says her rep.

Here's what I'm thinking.  Can you say TOTAL ECLIPSE OF A MENTAL BREAKDOWN here?  This woman was thrust into the spotlight and unlike many others who have had time to embrace their fame she has not.  Add into the mix the paparazzi who we all know are like vultures and possibly just about anyone who ever knew her that now wants something from her and you have a recipe for disaster!

DNA tests show Michigan man is not 1955 missing toddler

We didn't need Maury for this one... DNA test results reveal that a Michigan man is not a Long Island, New York, boy who went missing 54 years ago, according to the FBI.

Could we now have a lady, any lady just run around and backstage crying NO NO NO!  That would be so Maury!

'Idol' Rocker Joins Evanescence Offshoot

Irish rocker Carly Smithson, the 'American Idol' vet with huge pipes, has joined forces with members of one of the biggest bands of the decade, Evanescence. Smithson essentially replaces singer Amy Lee in the band, which is calling itself The Fallen.

Evanescence has slowly fallen apart since band members began leaving the group after their debut album, 'Fallen,' which has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Lee put out another album in 2006, 'The Open Door,' but without Moody and other members. Smithson bears a striking resemblance to Lee, both in appearance and in their voices.
Smithson, who placed sixth on the seventh season of 'Idol,' says she's confident she'll succeed in the world of arena-style rock.
If you ask me I'd rather have the real thing that this apparent knock-off.  BRING ME TO LIFE!

Jon & Kate announcing a major decision Monday

The TLC network says its biggest stars, Jon and Kate Gosselin, will announce a major decision on their reality show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
TLC isn't commenting on what the news will be from these parents of 8-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets. But viewers who have witnessed the Gosselins' marriage coming unraveled are clearly welcome to draw their own conclusions leading up to Monday's episode. And to show up in droves to see it. The show is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. EDT.
In a promotional video posted by TLC hyping the special one-hour edition, Kate Gosselin says, "Recently, we've made some life-changing decisions ... ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."
Here I'm thinking that they are going to announce that they are either a) are moving in with Angelina Jolie or b) including a special guest star (ala Heather Locklear in Melrose Place) to their series, one Nadya Denise Doud-Suleman Gutierrez"along with her brood.  That would be Jon & Kate plus 8 with Special guest star Nadya Denise Doud-Suleman Gutierrez and 14 for a grand total of 22!  Anyone have pick up sticks?!

Clinton falls and breaks elbow.

Clinton fell Wednesday afternoon at the State Department on her way to the White House and was taken to George Washington University Hospital. She was treated and released. She will have surgery to repair her elbow in coming weeks.

My question is; What is up with these women injuring themselves on the way to Washington?  First Sotomayor fractures her ankle en route to the Senate and now Hillary en route to the White House.

Most famous fly

Sad Ending for Archie's Arrested Dad

The father of 'American Idol' superstar David Archuleta was arrested for misdemeanor soliciting a prostitute at a Utah massage parlor back in January.

According to the report, James Jeffrey Archuleta (who generally goes by Jeff) pleaded "no contest" to the charges, and resolved the situation by paying a $582 fine.

Midvale Police Department Detective Sgr. John Salazar states that at the time of the raid, only one client -- Archuleta -- was in the parlor. "He was just finishing up in suite number one. I sent two of the officers in and the male was on his stomach on the table with a masseuse in lace underwear," he says. After questioning Archuleta, Salazar says he admitted to receiving "sexual services"

This isn't the first time Mr. Archuleta has found himself in the headlines. During David's 'Idol' run and shortly after, several reports emerged claiming that he was overbearing and hostile towards others -- including his son.  I just have one word of advice for David.  Get as far away from you dad as possible or we will be reading about you 5-10 years from now living in poverty because your father has not only alienated the record companies but everyone under the sun from you.

Obscenity Appears on Yearbook Cover

School administrators in Shaker Heights, Ohio, weren't impressed when they discovered a hidden obscenity on the cover of a high school yearbook.

An art student drew a creative interpretation of Shaker Heights High School's "Red Raider" mascot and incorporated the F-word into the drawing.  When you turn the yearbook upside down, you can read the hidden message “F Y ALL.”

After the word was discovered, Principal Michael Griffith sent a letter to parents that included an apology from the student who designed the cover. The offending student has already graduated.
The school is now distributing a new version of the yearbook that conceals the dirty word.  Heck, I give the kid an A+ for ingenuity!

Obama Kills Fly During Interview

Oh say it ain't so Joe!
President Barack Obama, nettled by a fly during a TV interview at the White House, took matters into his own hands Tuesday.

Said Obama to the persistent fly: "Get out of here."
But it didn't.
So Obama waited for the fly to settle, put his hand up and then smacked the fly dead in one try.
Without missing a beat, the president said to CNBC correspondent John Harwood: "Now, where were we."
Well, maybe one more second to gloat.
Said Obama: "That was pretty impressive, wasn't it? I got the sucker."
The camera crew was still rolling in the East Room. Obama didn't mind. He pointed to the vanquished insect on the ground and said, "You want to film that?"
