AZ State Senator Russell Pearce's Next Target: US Citizens Babies born to Illegal Immigrants.

I think they should change it to a baby is automatically a US Citizen if:

Born to at least 1 parent who is a US Citizen or National or is a Legal immigrant with permanent residence status. Doesn't matter if the parents are married or not, nor which parent is the citizen/resident/national. So, if mom is illegal or here on a temporary visa and dad is a citizen and they aren't married, the baby still gets citizenship through the dad. DNA tests would be done for non-married couples to ensure they aren't just naming some random guy as the dad to get the baby citizenship.

If neither parent is a citizen or legal immigrant/permanent resident/national of the US, the child is a citizen of the country of the parents. They would just register the birth at the embassy/consulate of x country as the birth of a citizen of x country abroad. If the parents are not married, the child would be a citizen of the mother's country unless the parents decide otherwise and take steps to register the child as a citizen of the father's country, if it is different from the mother's. This would include babies born to tourists from abroad as well as people on temporary visas and illegal immigrants.

I just don't get where people get off with all the sympathy. If a person robs a store they are accountable for the robbery and we don't feel sorry for them because they knew what they did was wrong. Same thing here. The illegal alien mother knows that she's in the US illegally she didn't wake up one morning and say "wait, how did I get here across the border?" .
